Rinse the apples, remove the stems, dry apples with a paper towel, and refrigerate until ready to make the treat. Insert a stick into the core and set aside.

Line a baking sheet or dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray.

Unwrap the caramels and place them in a microwaveable bowl. Add the water. Microwave for two minutes and stir well. If needed, continue microwaving at 30-second intervals until fully melted.

Insert a wooden stick into the center of each apple. Dunk the apples in the melted caramel, allowing excess to drip back into the bowl. Quickly roll the apple in your topping of choice and set on the prepared parchment paper.

Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the caramel to harden before serving.
