Cinnamon Apple Rings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 large apples (such as Fuji or Honeycrisp).
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour.
03 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar.
04 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
07 - 1/2 cup milk.
08 - 1 large egg.
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
10 - Vegetable oil for frying.
11 - Powdered sugar for dusting (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Peel and core the apples. Slice them into 1/4-inch thick rings.
02 - In a bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
03 - In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
04 - Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
05 - Pour vegetable oil into a deep skillet or frying pan to a depth of about 1 inch. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
06 - Dip each apple ring into the batter, coating it completely. Carefully place the coated apple rings into the hot oil.
07 - Fry the apple rings in batches, turning them occasionally, until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
08 - Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried apple rings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
09 - Optional: Dust the fried apple rings with powdered sugar before serving.
