French Onion Beef Rice Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound lean ground beef
02 - ½ to 1 teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
03 - 2 cans (10.5 ounce each) beef consume
04 - 2 cans (10.5 ounce each) French onion soup
05 - ¾ cup water
06 - 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice (not minute rice)
07 - ¾ cup butter (1½ sticks), sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven nice and hot by preheating it to 425°F. While it's warming up, grab a 9x13 inch baking dish and give it a good spray with cooking spray.
02 - Pull out your favorite large skillet and brown that ground beef with a sprinkle of garlic salt until it's perfectly cooked through. Break it up as it cooks so you get nice, even crumbles.
03 - In your prepared baking dish, mix together the rice and that freshly browned beef. Pour in all the good stuff - the soups, broth, and water. Give everything a good stir until it's well combined.
04 - Take your sliced butter and arrange the pieces right on top of everything. This will melt into the dish and create amazing flavor!
05 - Cover the dish tightly with foil and pop it in the oven for 30 minutes.
06 - Remove the foil and let it bake for another 30 minutes until everything is hot and bubbly.
07 - Once it's done, fluff it all up with a fork and get ready to serve this cozy dish!

# Notes:

01 - Want to save on dishes? Try making this in a cast iron Dutch oven or large 12-inch cast iron skillet - brown your beef right in there, then add everything else and bake!
