Easy Pumpkin Floats Kids Will Love This Fall (Print version)

Orange soda and vanilla ice cream turn into fizzy pumpkin-inspired floats with whipped cream, sprinkles, and candy corn.

# Ingredients:

For the cups

01 - 2 tablespoons light corn syrup or vanilla frosting
02 - 1/3 cup Halloween sprinkles

For the floats

03 - 8 scoops vanilla ice cream, about 4 cups (600 g), kept firm
04 - 4 cups (960 ml) orange soda, well chilled

For topping

05 - 1 cup (240 ml) whipped cream or whipped topping
06 - 1/4 cup candy corn
07 - 2 tablespoons extra Halloween sprinkles
08 - 1/8 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Dip the rim of each clear cup lightly into corn syrup or frosting. Press the rim into Halloween sprinkles until coated, then set the cups upright.
02 - Place 2 firm scoops of vanilla ice cream into each prepared cup. Use tall 12-ounce cups so the foam has room to rise.
03 - Slowly pour 1 cup of chilled orange soda into each cup, aiming down the inside edge. Pause if the foam climbs too high, then finish pouring.
04 - Add whipped cream, candy corn, extra sprinkles, and a tiny dusting of pumpkin pie spice if desired. Serve immediately with straws and spoons.

# Good to know:

01 - Best served immediately while the soda is fizzy and the ice cream is still cold.
02 - Decorate cups and portion toppings ahead, but assemble floats right before serving.
03 - Use dairy-free ice cream and whipped topping for a dairy-free variation.
