Easy Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs (Print version)

Golden biscuit dough wrapped around warm apple pie filling, brushed with butter, and rolled in cinnamon sugar.

# Ingredients:

For the apple bombs

01 - 1 can (16.3 oz / 462 g) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough, 8 biscuits
02 - 3/4 cup (190 g) apple pie filling, chopped into small pieces
03 - Nonstick cooking spray

For the cinnamon sugar coating

04 - 3 tablespoons (42 g) unsalted butter, melted
05 - 1/3 cup (65 g) granulated sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
07 - Pinch of fine salt

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and pinch of salt together in a shallow bowl. Set the melted butter in a second small bowl.
02 - Separate the biscuits and press each one into a 4-inch round. Keep the centers slightly thicker than the edges so the filling stays tucked inside.
03 - Place about 1 tablespoon chopped apple pie filling in the center of each biscuit. Pull the dough around the filling, pinch the seams tightly, and roll gently into a ball with the seam underneath.
04 - Heat the air fryer to 350°F for 2-3 minutes if your model recommends preheating. Lightly spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
05 - Arrange 4 bombs in the basket with space between them. Cook for 7-9 minutes, turning gently halfway through, until puffed, golden, and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining bombs.
06 - Brush the warm bombs with melted butter, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar until evenly coated. Let them cool for 5 minutes before serving because the apple filling will be hot.

# Good to know:

01 - Serve warm for the best soft-crisp texture.
02 - Chop large apple slices before filling so the dough seals neatly.
03 - Air fryer times vary by model, so check the first batch early.
