Crispy Beef Cheese Chimichangas (Print Version)

Crispy tortillas filled with seasoned beef and cheddar, ideal for family dinners or gatherings.

01 - 450 g lean ground beef
02 - 120 g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
03 - 6 large flour tortillas
04 - 1 medium onion, diced
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin
07 - 1 teaspoon chili powder
08 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
09 - Vegetable oil, for frying

# Instructions:

01 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until golden brown.
02 - Add minced garlic and ground beef; cook until meat is browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
03 - Stir in cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper; mix until spices are evenly distributed.
04 - Remove skillet from heat and fold in shredded cheddar cheese until it melts into the beef mixture.
05 - Place a generous spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture on each tortilla; roll tightly, folding in the sides to enclose filling.
06 - Fry chimichangas seam-side down in hot oil until golden and crisp, about 3-4 minutes per side.
07 - Drain chimichangas on paper towels and serve hot with salsa or guacamole.
