Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries (Print Version)

Golden apple fries coated in cinnamon sugar, air-fried until crispy, served with caramel or vanilla sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 large apples, such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
02 - 65 grams all-purpose flour
03 - 2 large eggs, beaten
04 - 60 grams panko breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs
05 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
06 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
07 - Cooking spray

→ Dipping Sauce Options

08 - 120 milliliters caramel sauce (optional)
09 - 120 grams vanilla yogurt (optional, for a lighter accompaniment)

# Instructions:

01 - Peel apples if preferred and cut into wedges approximately 1.25 centimeters thick. Discard cores and seeds. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
02 - Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in a second, and panko breadcrumbs in a third. Mix half the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the breadcrumbs until evenly distributed.
03 - Coat each apple wedge in the flour, shake off excess, dip in beaten egg to cover entirely, then press gently into the breadcrumb mixture until coated. Repeat with remaining apple wedges.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 190°C for 3 minutes. Arrange coated apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly mist with cooking spray. Cook for 8–10 minutes, turning once, until crisp and golden brown.
05 - Immediately after frying, sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar over the hot apple fries. Serve promptly with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - For extra crispness, space the apple wedges apart in the air fryer basket and work in batches if needed.
