Creamy Imitation Crab Pasta Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb dry pasta (bowtie or rotini)
02 - 12-16 oz imitation crab, torn into small pieces

→ Dressing

03 - 1 cup mayonnaise
04 - 1/2 cup buttermilk
05 - 1 lemon, juiced
06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
08 - 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt (Lawry's recommended)
09 - 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
10 - 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
11 - Salt and pepper to taste
12 - 4 green onions, thinly sliced (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Bring large pot of water to boil with 1-2 tablespoons salt. Cook pasta according to package directions (10-12 minutes). Rinse with cold water, drain, and let cool completely.
02 - While pasta cooks, tear or cut imitation crab meat into bite-size pieces.
03 - In a very large bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, buttermilk, garlic, lemon juice, and all seasonings. Mix until well combined.
04 - Add cooled pasta to the crab mixture and toss until well-coated. Garnish with green onions if desired.
05 - Refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight. Toss again before serving.

01 - Recipe makes a large batch suitable for 8 people
02 - For immediate serving, cool hot pasta in ice bath for 2-3 minutes
03 - Can use buttermilk substitute if needed
