Chop shrimp into bite-sized pieces. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped parsley, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until uniformly blended.

Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise and carefully hollow out the center of each half, ensuring a sturdy shell remains to support the filling.

Distribute the seafood mixture evenly between the hollowed bread halves, gently pressing the filling into each cavity.

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Brush the outside of each bread half with melted butter. Wrap tightly in aluminium foil and bake for 15 minutes on a baking tray.

Remove the foil from the bread halves and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp.

Allow the bread to stand for a few minutes. Slice into portions and serve warm.
