Indulge in warm cinnamon, creamy filling, and golden French toast for an irresistible breakfast delight.

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 6 slices white bread, crusts removed

→ Filling

02 - 113 grams cream cheese, softened
03 - 55 grams brown sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

→ Coating

05 - 1 large egg
06 - 60 milliliters whole milk

→ Cooking

07 - 28 grams unsalted butter

→ Serving

08 - Maple syrup

# Instructions:

01 - Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread evenly, ensuring the bread is pliable for rolling.
02 - Combine softened cream cheese, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
03 - Evenly spread the cinnamon filling over each slice of flattened bread. Roll each slice tightly from one end to the other, sealing the edge by gently pressing or brushing with a small amount of water.
04 - Whisk the egg together with milk in a shallow bowl until well combined.
05 - Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Dip each filled roll into the egg-milk mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Cook seam-side down until golden brown on all sides, about 1–2 minutes per side.
06 - Plate the roll-ups and serve immediately with warm maple syrup for dipping or drizzling.

# Notes:

01 - Use slightly stale or day-old bread for best texture and to prevent sogginess during dipping and frying.
02 - Do not crowd the pan; cook in batches to ensure even browning.
03 - Allow finished roll-ups to rest briefly on a wire rack to preserve crispness before serving.
04 - Substitute brioche or challah for a richer experience, or whole wheat for added fiber.
05 - For dairy-free variations, use plant-based milk, vegan butter, and dairy-free cream cheese.
