Chicken Alfredo Air Fryer Calzones (Print version)

Crispy air fryer calzones filled with creamy chicken Alfredo, ready in about 20 minutes for an easy weeknight dinner.

# Ingredients:

For the filling

01 - 2 cups (300 g) cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded
02 - 3/4 cup (180 ml) thick Alfredo sauce
03 - 1 cup (100 g) shredded low-moisture mozzarella
04 - 1/4 cup (25 g) grated Parmesan
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
07 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
08 - Salt to taste

For the dough and finish

09 - 1 lb (450 g) pizza dough, store-bought or homemade
10 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
11 - Extra flour for dusting

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, stir together the cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper. The mixture should be thick enough to hold its shape when scooped. Season with salt if your Alfredo sauce is unsalted.
02 - Divide the pizza dough into four equal pieces. On a lightly floured surface, roll each piece into a six-inch circle. Keep the center a touch thicker than the edges to prevent tearing.
03 - Spoon about one-third cup of filling onto one half of each dough circle, leaving a three-quarter-inch border bare. Fold the empty half over the filling. Press the edges firmly with your fingers, then crimp with a fork to seal tightly.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 360°F. Arrange two calzones in the basket without overlapping. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil. Air fry for six minutes, then flip carefully and continue cooking for four to six minutes until the crust is deep golden and crisp. Repeat with the remaining calzones.

# Good to know:

01 - Best served warm while the cheese is still molten.
02 - Let rest for two minutes after frying so the filling does not scald.
