Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups (Print version)

Golden crescent roll-ups packed with mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, and buttery Italian seasoning.

# Ingredients:

For the roll-ups

01 - 1 tube (8 oz / 226 g) refrigerated crescent roll dough or crescent dough sheet
02 - 1/3 cup (85 g) pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
03 - 1 1/4 cups (140 g) shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
04 - 3/4 cup (75 g) mini pepperoni or chopped pepperoni
05 - 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
06 - 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
07 - 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - Pinch of black pepper

For the buttery top

09 - 1 tablespoon (14 g) unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
11 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, optional
12 - Warm marinara sauce, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface. If using perforated crescent rolls, press the seams together to make one rectangle.
03 - Spread pizza sauce in a thin layer over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Sprinkle with mozzarella, pepperoni, parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper.
04 - Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Pinch the seam closed, then slice into 8 even roll-ups.
05 - Place the roll-ups cut-side up on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with parmesan. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until puffed, golden, and bubbling.
06 - Let the roll-ups cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley if using and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

# Good to know:

01 - Best served warm after a 5-minute rest.
02 - Use a thin layer of sauce to keep the centers from getting soggy.
03 - Makes 8 roll-ups, about 4 snack servings.
