Add the Velveeta cheese to the pot with the macaroni, and stir until melted and combined.

In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the beef and onion until the beef is completely browned and the onion has softened. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Stir in the sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, onion powder, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and milk. Stir until combined well.

Add the noodles to the skillet, and stir to combine.

Spread the mixture into a 9x13 greased baking dish.

Top with the American cheese slices and Ritz cracker crumbs.
