Cheeseburger Lava Cakes Molten (Print Version)

Savory beef cakes hide molten cheddar inside, combining classic cheeseburger flavors in a baked treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 450 g ground beef (80/20 blend)
02 - 120 g sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 120 g all-purpose flour
05 - 60 g bread crumbs

→ Seasoning

06 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Black pepper, to taste

→ To Serve

09 - 60 ml ketchup
10 - 30 ml mustard

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C and coat the inner surfaces of ramekins or muffin tins with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - Sauté the ground beef over medium heat in a skillet until evenly browned. Drain excess fat and season with onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Transfer the seasoned beef to a mixing bowl. Add bread crumbs, eggs, flour, and half the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
04 - Fill each prepared ramekin or muffin tin halfway with the beef mixture. Place a portion of the remaining cheddar cheese into the center, then top with additional beef mixture until covered.
05 - Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the cakes are golden brown at the edges with soft centres.
06 - Allow to cool briefly before inverting onto serving plates. Finish with a drizzle of ketchup and mustard.

# Notes:

01 - Use a higher-fat beef blend for richer molten centers and easier unmolding from bakeware.
