01 -
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
02 -
Using a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and working in batches, add the steak slices and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through, stirring a few times.
03 -
Transfer the cooked beef to a colander to drain any excess liquid, then return it to the skillet.
04 -
Add 2 tablespoons of avocado oil to the skillet and season the steak with 1 tablespoon of Montreal Steak Seasoning, or to taste.
05 -
Add the American cheese slices and grated pepper jack cheese to the skillet, stirring until the cheese melts and coats the steak.
06 -
If using raw tortillas, cook them according to the package instructions. Place the cooked steak and cheese mixture onto each tortilla and fold it into a chimichanga shape.
07 -
Brush the chimichangas with melted butter and place them on a baking sheet.
08 -
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the tortillas are crispy and golden brown.
09 -
Serve the chimichangas hot with salsa, sour cream, and cilantro on the side. Enjoy!.
