Easy cheesy homemade bread (Print Version)

A simple loaf version of Red Lobster's famous cheddar biscuits, made with Bisquick, cheese, and topped with garlic butter.

# Ingredients:

→ Biscuit Loaf

01 - 2 cups biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
02 - 1/2 cup cold water
03 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

→ Garlic Butter Topping

04 - 1/4 cup butter, melted
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan to ensure your biscuit loaf doesn't stick.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine the biscuit mix, cold water, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until a soft dough forms. This will be the base of your loaf.
03 - Transfer the dough into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
04 - While the loaf is baking, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley in a small bowl. As soon as you remove the loaf from the oven, brush this garlic-parsley butter over the top to infuse it with flavor.
05 - Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. This makes it easier to slice without crumbling.

# Notes:

01 - This loaf is inspired by Red Lobster's famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits but in an easy-to-slice loaf form.
02 - For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or Old Bay seasoning to the butter mixture.
03 - The loaf pairs wonderfully with soups, salads, and pasta dishes.
