Classic Green Bean Casserole Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1 can (10.5 ounces) Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup
02 - 4 cups green beans (choose from: 2 cans, one 16 oz package frozen, or 1½ pounds fresh)
03 - 1⅓ cups crispy French fried onions, divided

→ Sauce Components

04 - ½ cup milk
05 - 1 teaspoon soy sauce
06 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Start by giving your 9x9 casserole dish a good coating of cooking spray to prevent sticking.
02 - If using fresh green beans, clean and cut them, then blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes. For canned beans, simply drain them well in a colander.
03 - In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth and lump-free. Stir in the soy sauce for that extra touch of flavor.
04 - Mix in your prepared green beans and ⅔ cup of the crispy onions. Season with pepper and give everything a good stir until well combined.
05 - Transfer your mixture to the prepared casserole dish, spreading it out evenly.
06 - Air Fryer: Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, stir, top with remaining onions, and cook 2 more minutes. Oven: Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, stir, add remaining onions, and bake 5 more minutes until golden.

# Notes:

01 - This recipe is naturally salty due to the ingredients - no extra salt needed! For a lower-sodium version, try using unsalted soup and reduced-sodium soy sauce
02 - When cooking alongside other holiday dishes, the casserole might need extra time - ensure it's hot throughout before serving
