Cajun Chicken with Bell Peppers (Print Version)

Cajun chicken paired with creamy cheese and tender bell peppers baked to perfection.

# Ingredients:

→ Cajun Seasoning

01 - 1 teaspoon paprika
02 - ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
03 - ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
04 - ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
05 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ Chicken

06 - 2 small bell peppers, thinly sliced
07 - 4 small chicken breasts
08 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 6 oz cold cream cheese, sliced into 8 pieces
10 - ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Combine paprika, cayenne pepper, oregano, thyme, and salt in a small bowl. Mix until evenly blended.
02 - Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
03 - Arrange the thinly sliced bell peppers evenly across the bottom of the casserole dish.
04 - Place the chicken breasts on top of the bell peppers. Generously sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the chicken breasts, using as much as desired.
05 - Spread the minced garlic evenly over the chicken. Top each chicken breast with 2 slices of cream cheese, followed by a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
06 - Bake the chicken uncovered in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until fully cooked. Check for an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
07 - Broil the chicken for 2 minutes for a golden and melted topping, if desired.
08 - Scoop the bell peppers from underneath the chicken and arrange them around and on top of the baked chicken breasts.
