Cabbage Salad for Weight Loss (Print Version)

Try this fresh and healthy cabbage salad with a hint of crunch and tangy dressing.

# Ingredients:

→ For the salad

01 - 1/3 head green cabbage
02 - 1/3 head red cabbage
03 - 1-2 cucumbers
04 - 1 onion
05 - 1 carrot
06 - 20g walnuts
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt (for green cabbage)
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt (for cucumbers)
09 - 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

→ For the dressing

10 - 2 cloves garlic
11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
12 - 1 tablespoon honey
13 - 2 tablespoons mustard

# Instructions:

01 - Thinly slice the green cabbage, place in a bowl, sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt, and mix well.
02 - Slice the cucumbers, add to another bowl, sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt, and set aside.
03 - Finely dice or thinly slice the onion and add the rice vinegar to it in a small bowl.
04 - Thinly slice or shred the red cabbage and place in a large salad bowl.
05 - Grate or julienne the carrot and add to the salad bowl.
06 - Roughly chop the walnuts.
07 - Mince the garlic cloves and combine with olive oil, honey, and mustard in a small bowl. Whisk until well combined.
08 - Drain any excess liquid from the green cabbage and cucumbers, then add them to the salad bowl.
09 - Add the onion mixture to the salad bowl.
10 - Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the salad.
11 - Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well to combine.
