Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9 by 13-inch pan with foil. Place one layer of saltine crackers in the pan and set it aside.

Combine butter and brown sugar in a large saucepan. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil for 3 minutes while stirring continuously.

Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the saltine crackers and bake in the oven for 7 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the white candy melts over the hot toffee. As they melt, spread them evenly like icing.

Add sprinkles or candies on top. Refrigerate to cool completely, then break into pieces and serve.
