Juicy oven-baked pork chops with a brown sugar spice rub that caramelizes beautifully. Ready in 25 minutes with almost no cleanup.

# Ingredients:

Pork and rub

01 - 4 boneless pork chops, about 3/4 to 1 inch thick (approx. 1.5 lb / 680 g)
02 - 2 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
07 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Break up any clumps with a fork.
03 - Rub the olive oil over both sides of each pork chop. Press the spice mixture firmly onto both sides so it adheres well.
04 - Place the chops in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
05 - Transfer the pork chops to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes. The crust will be tacky and golden. Serve warm.
