Biscuits Gravy Hashbrown Bake (Print Version)

Crispy hashbrowns, savory sausage, gravy, cheddar, and fluffy biscuits in a hearty baked dish.

01 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
02 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
03 - 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
04 - 180 grams shredded cheddar cheese
05 - 480 millilitres whole milk
06 - 1 packet (78 grams) McCormick Sausage Flavour Gravy Mix
07 - 360 grams frozen shredded hash browns
08 - 450 grams premium pork sausage
09 - 1 can (454 grams) buttermilk biscuits

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C and lightly grease a 33x23 cm baking pan for even baking.
02 - Cook the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. Once fully browned, drain excess fat.
03 - Spread frozen hash browns evenly in the prepared baking dish and top with the cooked, crumbled sausage.
04 - In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sausage gravy mix and milk until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the sausage and hash browns.
05 - Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly across the casserole to form a uniform cheesy layer.
06 - Cut each buttermilk biscuit into four pieces and distribute biscuit pieces evenly over the top of the casserole.
07 - Place the assembled casserole in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the biscuit tops are golden brown and the center is set.
08 - Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving hot.

01 - For a crispy biscuit finish, ensure biscuits are spaced out and not overcrowded. Allow the casserole to rest before serving for optimal texture.
