Banana Split Fluff Recipe (Print version)

A creamy no-bake banana split fluff with pineapple, strawberries, cherries, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and whipped topping.

# Ingredients:

For the fluff base

01 - 1 (3.4 oz / 96 g) box instant vanilla pudding mix
02 - 1 (20 oz / 565 g) can crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
03 - 1 (8 oz / 225 g) tub frozen whipped topping, thawed

For the mix-ins

04 - 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
05 - 1 cup (150 g) diced fresh strawberries
06 - 1 1/2 cups (75 g) mini marshmallows
07 - 1/2 cup (85 g) mini chocolate chips
08 - 1/2 cup (55 g) chopped walnuts or pecans
09 - 1/2 cup (90 g) maraschino cherries, drained, patted dry, and halved
10 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice or pineapple juice, for the banana slices

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, stir the dry pudding mix with the undrained crushed pineapple until the powder dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 1 minute.
02 - Add the thawed whipped topping and fold gently with a spatula until the base is creamy and no dry pudding streaks remain.
03 - Fold in the mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, and chopped nuts until evenly scattered through the fluff.
04 - Slice the bananas and toss them lightly with lemon juice or pineapple juice. Pat the cherries dry and dice the strawberries if needed.
05 - Gently fold in the bananas, strawberries, and cherries. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving cold.

# Good to know:

01 - Best served cold within 24 hours for the freshest banana color and texture.
02 - Use firm ripe bananas, not overripe bananas, so the slices hold together.
03 - For cleaner serving, garnish with extra cherries, chocolate chips, and nuts just before bringing it to the table.
