Frozen Banana Peanut Butter Treats For Dogs (Print version)

Creamy frozen dog treats made with ripe banana, plain yogurt, and xylitol-free peanut butter.

# Ingredients:

For the frozen treats

01 - 1 large ripe banana, peeled and sliced
02 - 1 cup (240 g) plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
03 - 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter, xylitol-free
04 - 1-2 tablespoons water, only if needed for blending

# Instructions:

01 - Add the sliced banana to a blender or food processor and pulse until mostly mashed.
02 - Add the yogurt and xylitol-free peanut butter. Blend until smooth and thick, scraping down the sides as needed. Add water only if the mixture will not move.
03 - Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or an ice cube tray. Tap the tray gently on the counter to remove air pockets.
04 - Freeze for at least 3 hours, or until completely firm.
05 - Pop the treats out of the molds and store in an airtight freezer container. Serve one small treat at a time.

# Good to know:

01 - Use only xylitol-free peanut butter.
02 - Best served as an occasional treat, not a meal replacement.
03 - Makes about 16 small treats, depending on mold size.
