Bacon Wrapped Smokies Brown Sugar (Print Version)

Smokies and bacon baked with brown sugar and butter for a sweet, savory party favorite.

# Ingredients:

01 - 450 grams bacon, sliced into thirds
02 - 450 grams cocktail sausages (lil' smokies)

→ Sauce and Topping

03 - 115 grams unsalted butter
04 - 420 grams brown sugar, divided

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 190°C and allow to fully preheat.
02 - Slice bacon into thirds. Wrap each cocktail sausage with one portion of bacon, securing seam side down if needed.
03 - Place all bacon-wrapped sausages in a single layer inside a large baking dish.
04 - Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in 210 grams (1 cup) of brown sugar until dissolved and uniform.
05 - Pour the melted butter and brown sugar mixture evenly over the arranged wrapped sausages.
06 - Evenly sprinkle the remaining 210 grams (1 cup) of brown sugar over the top.
07 - Bake for 15–20 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 205°C and continue baking 5–8 minutes more, until bacon is crisp and caramelized.
