Easy Air Fryer Hot Dogs (Print version)

Juicy air fryer hot dogs with lightly blistered edges and warm toasted buns, ready in about 6 minutes.

# Ingredients:

For the dogs and buns

01 - 4 hot dogs, beef, turkey, chicken, or veggie
02 - 4 hot dog buns

For serving

03 - Yellow mustard, to taste
04 - Ketchup, to taste
05 - Sweet pickle relish, to taste
06 - 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the air fryer to 400 F for 2-3 minutes.
02 - Use a small knife to make shallow diagonal slits across each hot dog if you want more browning. Do not cut deeply.
03 - Place the hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 4-5 minutes, turning or shaking once, until hot and lightly blistered.
04 - Place each hot dog in a bun and return them to the basket. Air fry for 1-2 minutes, until the buns are warm and lightly toasted.
05 - Top with mustard, ketchup, relish, chopped onion, or your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.

# Good to know:

01 - Cook jumbo hot dogs for 6-8 minutes before adding buns.
02 - For frozen hot dogs, cook at 350 F for 7-8 minutes before toasting in buns.
03 - Best served right after the buns are toasted.
