Homemade Beef Jerky Air Fryer (Print Version)

Savory beef strips air-fried for chewy, flavorful snacking with easy prep and customizable taste.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 450 g beef sirloin tip steak, thinly sliced

→ Marinade

02 - 60 ml low-sodium soy sauce
03 - 30 ml Worcestershire sauce
04 - 36 g brown sugar
05 - 0.5 g garlic powder
06 - 0.5 g onion powder
07 - 0.5 g ground black pepper
08 - 0.25 g red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the beef sirloin tip steak into strips, approximately 6 mm thick, cutting against the grain to enhance tenderness.
02 - Combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until the sugar is nearly dissolved.
03 - Add the beef strips to the marinade and ensure an even coating. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 6 hours, ideally overnight, to maximize flavor absorption.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 82°C.
05 - Lay the marinated beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring pieces do not overlap to allow optimal air circulation.
06 - Air fry for 120 to 180 minutes, flipping strips halfway through. Jerky is done when dry but pliable.
07 - Cool the jerky completely on a wire rack, then transfer to an airtight container for storage.

# Notes:

01 - For easier slicing, freeze beef for 30 minutes prior to cutting.
02 - Pat beef strips dry before air frying to accelerate dehydration.
03 - Jerky is ready when it bends and cracks slightly but does not snap when tested.
04 - Store jerky in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for extended shelf life.
