Tex-Mex Salad (Print Version)
Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef.

1 packet taco seasoning mix.

3/4 cup water.
04 -
1 head lettuce, shredded.

1 large tomato, diced.

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed.

1 (14.5 ounce) bag tortilla chips, crushed.

1 cup Catalina dressing.
Instructions:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a large bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, diced tomato, shredded cheddar cheese, and drained kidney beans.

Add the cooked beef to the bowl and mix well.

Just before serving, toss in the crushed tortilla chips and Catalina dressing. Serve immediately.
