Caramel Apples (Print Version)
Ingredients:

4 medium Granny Smith apples, sliced (about 48 slices total).

1 (11 oz) bag caramel bits.

1/4 cup heavy cream.

Nonstick cooking spray.

Optional toppings: mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, toffee bits, crushed pretzels, M&M's, chopped candy bars.
Instructions:

Preheat a large rimmed baking sheet and spray with nonstick cooking spray.

Slice apples into about 12 slices each, leaving the peel on. Arrange in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramel bits and heavy cream. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth and well-blended.

Drizzle the melted caramel over the apple slices.

Add your choice of toppings.

Let cool slightly before serving.

For storage, cover and refrigerate for up to one day. Best enjoyed on the same day.
