The Perfect Basic Burger (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb ground beef (85% lean).
02 - Salt and pepper, to taste.
03 - 4 hamburger buns.
04 - Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese slices, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo).

Instructions:

01 - Shape the ground beef into four equal-sized patties.
02 - Season both sides of each patty generously with salt and pepper.
03 - Heat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
04 - Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.
05 - While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns until lightly golden.
06 - Assemble the burgers with your choice of toppings and serve immediately for the best flavor.
