1 loaf Italian bread.

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the loaf of Italian bread lengthwise into two halves. Place both halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.

In a small bowl, combine ½ cup softened unsalted butter and 1 teaspoon garlic salt. Spread the butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

In a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound ground beef and ¼ cup chopped onion until the beef is no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the grease. Stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, ¾ cup ketchup, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ cup water. Mix until well combined.

Divide the sloppy joe mixture evenly between the two halves of the bread. Top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
