Hawaiian Rib Rub (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup brown sugar.
02 - 2 tablespoons kosher salt.
03 - 1 tablespoon black pepper.
04 - 1 tablespoon smoked paprika.
05 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder.
06 - 1 tablespoon onion powder.
07 - 1 teaspoon ground ginger.
08 - 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste).
09 - 1 teaspoon ground cumin.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
11 - 1/4 teaspoon allspice (optional).

Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, mix together all the ingredients until well combined.
02 - Pat your ribs dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
03 - Generously coat the ribs with the rub, making sure to cover both sides. Massage the rub into the meat for better flavor penetration.
04 - Let the ribs sit with the rub for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, refrigerate them for several hours or overnight.
05 - Cook the ribs using your preferred method—grilling, smoking, or baking. For grilling or smoking, aim for a low temperature (around 225°F) for several hours until the meat is tender and fully cooked.
06 - Once cooked, let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
