Halloween Cake Roll (Print Version)

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10x15 inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.

Sift in flour and baking powder, gently folding until just combined.

Divide the batter into three bowls and add food coloring to each (orange, purple, black). Pour batter in alternating colored stripes in the prepared pan.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched. Immediately roll the cake in a towel dusted with powdered sugar and let it cool.

Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and food coloring (optional) until stiff peaks form. Unroll the cake, spread the filling, and re-roll carefully.

Frost the cake roll with black or purple frosting. Decorate with Halloween-themed sprinkles and edible decorations.
