Garlic Noodles (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Asian noodles or spaghetti (Hakka style noodles recommended).
02 - 1 bulb garlic, minced.
03 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter.
04 - 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce.
05 - 2 tablespoons oyster sauce.
06 - 1 tablespoon fish sauce.
07 - 1 teaspoon brown sugar.
08 - ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese.
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste.
10 - 2 green onions, sliced (optional).

Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the Asian noodles or spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
02 - In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Set aside.
03 - In a large skillet or wok, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and slightly golden, about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
04 - Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and pour the sauce over the noodles. Toss to combine and coat the noodles evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are heated through.
05 - Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions if desired. Serve immediately.
