Dessert (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup creamy peanut butter.
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 1 cup light corn syrup.
04 - 6 cups rice cereal (like Rice Krispies).
05 - 1 cup butterscotch chips.
06 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Instructions:

01 - Heat sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan until it just starts to boil, making sure the sugar dissolves into the syrup.
02 - Take the pan off the heat and mix in the peanut butter, stirring until it's all combined.
03 - Add the rice cereal to the mixture, stirring until everything's coated.
04 - Press the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch pan, using clean hands or a spatula to spread it evenly.
05 - In a microwave-safe bowl, mix the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until they're melted and smooth.
06 - Pour the melted chip mixture over the cereal base, spreading it out evenly.
07 - Let the topping set before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes:

01 - Don't let the sugar and corn syrup boil too long, just heat until combined.
02 - For easier spreading, you can use plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray or slightly wet your hands.
03 - These treats are best eaten within 1-2 days, if they last that long!.
