Christmas Funfetti Bread (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar.
03 - 2½ teaspoons vanilla extract.
04 - 3 large eggs.
05 - ½ cup sour cream.
06 - ¼ cup whole milk.
07 - 1¾ cups all-purpose flour.
08 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
09 - ¼ teaspoon baking soda.
10 - 1 teaspoon salt.
11 - ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon.
12 - ⅔ cup Christmas sprinkles (plus more for topping).
13 - 1¼ cups powdered sugar (for icing).
14 - 2 tablespoons heavy cream (for icing).
15 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy using a hand mixer.
03 - Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix until just combined, then stir in the sour cream and milk until incorporated.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
05 - Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined, ensuring no flour streaks remain.
06 - Fold in the sprinkles gently to avoid overmixing and spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
07 - Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
08 - For the icing, whisk together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the cooled bread and top with extra sprinkles if desired.
