Chow Mein Chicken (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 5 packets of ramen noodles (seasoning packet discarded).
02 - 1 pound chicken breast, thinly sliced.
03 - Salt and pepper to taste.
04 - 3 tablespoons olive oil.
05 - 1 small onion, diced.
06 - 1 10 oz package shredded cabbage.
07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced.
08 - 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated.
09 - 1/3 cup soy sauce.
10 - 3 teaspoons sesame oil.

Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook ramen according to the time on the package. Drain and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil, swirling to coat.
03 - Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add to the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes until browned.
04 - Add onions and cabbage, mix together, and cook for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
05 - In a bowl, mix together garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Pour into the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
06 - Stir in cooked noodles until well combined. Serve immediately.

Notes:

01 - For extra flavor, garnish with green onions or sesame seeds before serving.
