Brownie Cookies (Print Version)
Ingredients:
01 -
1 cup unsalted butter, softened.
02 -
1 cup granulated sugar.
03 -
1 cup brown sugar, packed.
04 -
2 large eggs.
05 -
1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
06 -
2 cups all-purpose flour.
07 -
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder.
08 -
1 teaspoon baking soda.
09 -
1/2 teaspoon salt.
10 -
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chunks.
11 -
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional).
Instructions:
01 -
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
02 -
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
03 -
Beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each is fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
04 -
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
05 -
Fold in the chocolate chunks and chopped walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
06 -
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
07 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes:
01 -
These rich, chocolatey brownie cookies are soft with a chewy texture and loaded with chocolate chunks. The optional walnuts add a nice crunch if desired.
