Ingredients:

Flour for dusting.

8-ounce bag shredded mozzarella cheese.

16-20 ounces pizza dough.

6-7 fully cooked crispy chicken tenders, sliced (Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips recommended).

1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese.

3/4 cup pizza sauce.

2 tablespoons butter, melted.
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If the chicken tenders are frozen, prepare them according to the package instructions. Once cooked, slice them into smaller pieces and set them aside.

On a floured surface, stretch the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle, similar to a pizza base.

Spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce on one half of the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edge.

Add 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese and sliced chicken tenders on the same sauced half.

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the calzone.

Place the calzone on a greased baking sheet and brush the top with melted butter. Cut three 1/2-inch slits on top to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven. Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of pizza sauce and sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top, leaving about 1 inch around the edges.

Return the calzone to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.

Let the calzone cool for 5-7 minutes before slicing and serving.
