Taco Stuffed Shells (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 12 ounces jumbo pasta shells.
02 - 1 pound ground beef.
03 - 1 packet taco seasoning.
04 - 2/3 cup water.
05 - 1 1/2 cups jarred salsa, divided.
06 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided.

Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Cook the pasta shells in a pot according to the directions on the box, then drain and set aside.
03 - In the same pot, add the ground beef and cook until well browned. Drain the excess fat.
04 - Add the taco seasoning and water to the browned beef, stir, and cook until the water evaporates.
05 - Stir in 1 cup of salsa and 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the beef mixture.
06 - Fill each jumbo pasta shell with the beef mixture and place them in a baking dish.
07 - Top the stuffed shells with the remaining salsa and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top.
08 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes:

01 - This dish is a fun twist on traditional tacos, combining the flavors of a classic taco with the comfort of baked pasta.
02 - You can use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to ground beef.
03 - For added flavor, try mixing in some chopped onions or bell peppers with the ground beef.
