Savory Baking (Print Version)
Ingredients:
01 -
3 crescent roll sheets.
02 -
1/2 cup butter, softened.
03 -
1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped.
04 -
1 tablespoon garlic, minced.
05 -
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded (divided).
06 -
3 tablespoons butter, melted.
07 -
1 teaspoon garlic, minced.
08 -
1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped.
09 -
1 teaspoon kosher salt.
Instructions:
01 -
Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray.
02 -
On a lightly floured surface, roll each crescent roll dough into a 12x16 inch sheet.
03 -
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, chives, and minced garlic.
04 -
Spread one-third of the butter mixture over one sheet of dough.
05 -
Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the buttery dough.
06 -
Roll the dough tightly from the long edge to form a log. Cut the log in half, then slice each half lengthwise to create four dough sections.
07 -
Repeat the process with the remaining dough sheets, ending up with 12 dough sections.
08 -
Take each dough section, twist it into a spiral with the cut sides facing outward, and place it into the prepared muffin tin.
09 -
Bake the cruffins for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
10 -
While the cruffins bake, melt the remaining butter and mix in the garlic, chives, and kosher salt to create garlic butter.
11 -
Once the cruffins are baked, brush them with the garlic butter and serve warm.
Notes:
01 -
These cheesy garlic cruffins are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven with a side of marinara sauce or ranch for dipping.
02 -
You can substitute cheddar with mozzarella or Parmesan for a different cheese flavor.
