Bubble Up Lasagna (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound Italian sausage (or ground beef).
02 - 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce, divided use.
03 - 1 cup ricotta cheese.
04 - ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese.
05 - 12 ounce can refrigerated Pillsbury Grands Jr. Biscuits.
06 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese.

Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
02 - Cut up biscuits into eighths.
03 - In a bowl, combine 1 cup of spaghetti sauce (set aside the rest for later use), ricotta cheese, and Parmesan cheese.
04 - Mix cut-up biscuits with cheese and sauce mixture and stir well. Spread into prepared baking dish.
05 - Cook Italian sausage, breaking it up as it cooks until browned and cooked thoroughly. Drain any excess grease. Turn off heat and place drained sausage back in the pan.
06 - Pour in the remainder of the spaghetti sauce with the sausage and stir well.
07 - Spread meat mixture on top of biscuit layer.
08 - Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top. Sprinkle with dried parsley flakes (optional).
09 - Bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes, until biscuits are cooked through (it took closer to 30 minutes in my oven).
