Pizza Pasta Casserole (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef (or Italian sausage).
02 - ½ onion, diced.
03 - 1 clove garlic, minced.
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
05 - 14 oz jar pizza sauce.
06 - ¾ cup water.
07 - 3 cups rotini pasta (measured before cooking).
08 - 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided.
09 - 36 slices pepperoni, divided.

Instructions:

01 - Cook 3 cups of pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
02 - Brown and crumble the ground beef with onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess grease.
03 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
04 - In a large bowl, combine pizza sauce and water. Add the cooked pasta, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, cooked ground beef, and 20 slices of halved pepperoni. Stir well.
05 - Spray a 9x9-inch (or 11x7-inch) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Pour in the pasta mixture.
06 - Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and place the remaining pepperoni slices on top.
07 - Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
