Apple Cinnamon Cupcakes (Print Version)

Ingredients:

01 - 1 (8 oz.) tube of refrigerated crescent rolls or crescent dough sheet.
02 - 1 medium apple, diced into small pieces.
03 - 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted (divided).
04 - ⅓ cup sugar (half light brown sugar, half white granulated sugar).
05 - Cinnamon, to taste (approximately 3/4 teaspoon).
06 - ½ cup powdered sugar.
07 - 1 teaspoon maple syrup.
08 - 1 Tbsp. milk (or more to achieve desired consistency).

Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with paper liners, enough for 8 rolls, and set aside.
02 - Unroll the crescent dough sheet onto a sheet of parchment paper. If using crescent rolls, press to seal perforations and form a large rectangle.
03 - Brush the dough with about 2 Tbsp. melted butter, reserving the rest for later.
04 - Mix together the cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough. Spread the diced apples on top.
05 - Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a log.
06 - Slice the log into 8 pieces, each about 1 ½ inches thick, and place them in the prepared paper liners.
07 - Brush the tops with the remaining melted butter. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown. If they begin to brown too quickly, cover the tops loosely with aluminum foil.
08 - Mix together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the slightly cooled cupcakes.
